    Default First 6.8!!!

Picked up a 6.8 spc. Gonna try it out for my new hunting rig. Need to find a new barrel in 18" or longer though, mine is 16".

Congrats! I'm in the process of finishing my first 6.8SPC build. I'm also researching barrels as I've done a bit of homework and seems I have more questions now than I did when I started. Anyway, here is the 18" barrel I'm looking at from Noveske Rifleworks:

MidwayUSA carries this barrel on their website and you can even get it with a headspaced bolt from them for a little extra. If you are thinking about going with a suppressed 6.8, I would highly recommend getting this barrel directly from Noveske with the switchblock option as it will allow you to adjust gas pressure.

    Cheers!

Try looking here for 6.8 SPC:

    Smile 6.8 and A1 parts

I got a 6.8 20 Hbar inch barrel and bolt from a rockriver gun that was converted to 223.

So I rounded up the parts I had on hand to build a 6.8 shooter.
it;s heavy and long but that's fine for now.
A1 upper, A2 everything else and a cheap scope.

Any body in the Fort Collins area?
I have a membership in the owl canyon range if anybody wants to meet there.
I like the 6.8 as a Coyote to deer gun so in a bit I need to find a place to hunt song dogs
