The whole time I read the article I kept thinking she was from the Netherlands and was a foreigner.

    It's ok. I suck.

ROFL- THANK YOU, this made my Monday... started bad, with 3 tickets from a COS officer (loud pipes was the reason for the stop)

middle of the day was- picture about 12 Dilbert comic strips in a row... I keep a mouse cord in my cube tied into a hangman's noose for these kinds of days...

but coming to the conclusion that you suck, and still posting about it?
when I think I suck, I keep it to myself (I guess that's why I haven't achieved GMKIA status, LOL)

like ElHuero, i too wonder what the outcome will be. depending on what she volunteered. she could have said truck overheated, was acting up, whatever. baby needed a nap, so she stopped, while the baby napped, she was drinking, but you cant prove drinking and driving unless she admitted it. did the forest service guys measure that it was actually 1/2 mile that she was away from the child? or just a guesstimate? allways alot of ifs. if she kept her mouth shut, it probably wouldnt be much of a deal.

She is screwed now though, with child protective services in the picture.

no question though, her parenting skills might need some work.

i wouldnt want to second guess her though and get told to STFU by some punk

I have no problem leaving the kid in the car but without clothes? The road she left the truck on is one lane but there are pullouts. There are some weird ass people up there this time of year. She stated that she could always hear the child. But she couldn't hear a FS truck drive up (doors closing, talking on the radio...), a Sheriff's truck drive up (same noises) and a third truck drive up? She drove 3 miles, out of town (if she lived "in" Nederland), with a kid, bottle and dog. She admits to drinking 3/4 of the bottle of alcohol. Maybe the kid was going to drive home.

Doesn't sound like the sharpest tool in the shed.
