Officials from DIA and the Federal Aviation Administration are concerned that a planned $7.5 million public shooting range in Adams County could endanger low-flying planes with errant bullets.
In an earlier communication with county officials, Hofer said FAA's airports office in Denver was concerned that the shooting range "will adversely affect airport capacity" at DIA and "limit the operations of future runways."
