    Default Yay Prescription Drugs!

    Comedian Greg Giraldo died today at the age of 44 -- five days after he was hospitalized for an overdose.

    Greg had been hospitalized in New Brunswick, NJ after he overdosed on prescription pills last weekend. A source said the overdose was not a suicide attempt.

    Giraldo was best known for his celebrity roast appearances. He had also been a judge on "Last Comic Standing."

    A source close to Greg tells us, "Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental overdose. His family was by his side."

    We're told plans are being made for a public memorial service
    Prescription drugs are gnarly. Part of the reason I almost never take them. Being that I used to drink my ass off, I know I have an addictive personality, so I steer clear of those things...

    I had a guy that I knew (worked at the Blockbuster next door to me) over dose on some prescription drug and alcohol once. It was pretty tragic at the time.

    I remember that thread Stuart. Many here are on scripts and are invaluable to many. Abuse is always a factor.

    Very easy to be that way. Some grow out of it and some do not. I will give my take on his death.

    He took a couple and wanted more. Then took more and still did not have the effect. Took more and wound up dead.

    The old Dirty Harry quote comes to mind. A man has got to know his limits.

    guy OD's on pills. we should ban pills.

    guy gets shot and killed. we should ban guns.

    guy gets hit by a car and dies. we should ban cars.

    guy drowns. we should ban water.

    we should be free to intoxicate and abrogate ourselves in any manner we see fit.
