Default Help with choosing 1-4x scope

I want a 1-4x scope under $300 and have come up with theses three:

    Leupold Mark AR 1.5-4x20
    Nikon M223 1-4x20
    Millet DMS 1-4x24

I know the reticles are all different but what's the best bang for the buck? What other scopes fit this bill. It's gonna go on a flattop AR and reach out to 200-300 yards max.

One of the guys that shoots our Tactical Rifle Matches uses the Leupold and does well. I have not heard him complain about it.

I like my Burris Tactical 1X-4X XTR, which sits atop one of my 223 uppers.
Comes with pictinney 30mm rings installed.Turrents feel a bit mushy.
It has a lighted or unlighted 1 moa dot red green non lighted black, with lighted horse shoe circle, ballistic plex rated for a 62 grain fmj 223; with hash marks out to a 1,000 yds.
If your not willing to spend $600 or more for a scope, your just getting what you paid for.
You can also mount Burris's Fastfire 1x Red Dot on top of rings.

I am in the same boat. I am looking at the Trijicon accupoint 1-4x and the Vortex viper pst 1-4x MOA reticle. I have read good things on the vortex, decent price too. I realllllly want a leupold 1.1-8x. Its on my wish list at $2k.

Is there anywhere that carries the Leupold line and the Nikon line in the Denver area? Now I'm stuck between the Leupold and the Nikon but now I've added the Nikon 2-8x32 to my list. I can never make up my mind

Uh...I think you are talking about a different scope. The XTR 1-4 does not, and never has, lit up green. Only red. And yes the reticle will work for 62 grain bullets but also works for 55 and 75 grain bullets. Judging by your statement, I don't think you have an XTR 1-4 scope. And it comes with the P.E.P.R. mount installed if you so choose. Not the XTR rings. You should be able to get the whole package for $650. That is the scope, P.E.P.R. mount, and the Fastfire 2 red dot optic. I work at Burris, please get your facts straight.
