Welcome Sir. I also frequent DM's... though not too often the past few months due to bills, etc.

Thanks. My neighbors weren't real keen on it, called it "scary". But she's a die-hard democrat (but reasonable - her son hunts, go figure). After being stuck with indoor ranges for the last few years in Maryland, it's nice to have an outdoor range within easy driving distance.
Welcome to the forum and to the springs ! Its a great group of folks here and Colorado Springs is an awesome town. We're gonna try and head out to dragon mans tomorrow if you want to get together and convert some money into noise with us. Shoot me a PM and I'll give you our cell if you can make it =)
I appreciate it, but I've already got plans to head to the air show! I'm due for a trip though!

Welcome to the site.
Oh, you are so going to eat those words once the cold weather sets in and you won't want to go to an outdoor range! We only have one indoor range here in Colorado Springs (that I'm aware of), it's called Whistling Pines. I'm not a member there because I'm just too danged cheap, but I've visited there with members and it appears to be a fine club.

Welcome, now where is this Air Show?
As for ranges, check out Frontier, just a mile or 2 from DM and affordable to join.
Bring the M1 out (or whatever you want) for a CMP 200yd reduced shoot every month. Cost is only $5 and you meet some nice people and see the range.

Or, just let me know a time youwant to get out and I will host you.
Welcome to the forum.
So, I was heading southbound on Powers today towards Barnes Road and I saw major smoke in the sky over the airport and a plane plummeting towards the earth. My initial reaction was "oh sh!t", until I noticed that there were two planes and they both puled up out of their dives and continued on with aerobatics.
I'm guessing that this is the air show you mentioned.
Colo Spr really blew chunks on getting the word out about this show to the general public. Heck, I dodn't even hear about it at work and I work on an Air Force base here in town (okay, just East of town, but...).
