Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to Fight, he'll just kill you.
Pretty cool.
Buzzkill=Keep in mind they can contract rabies. Might want to warn any little ones around that if the fox are acting strange to run tell Dad.
Ah yes I've had contact with many strange foxes in my lifetime- Oh critter fox-never mind![]()

One other traditional color lives close-by and exhibits the same behavior. While it could be from another litter I'm pretty certain it is a sibling. I suspect 2 of the 4 did not make it but if they did, they must have moved to a different territory near-by. There are way too many to keep track at the per head level.
No, I do not touch, they just like to be close-by occasionally (lay in the garage if I'm there puttering around after dark). But...I toss them a ball-cap every once in-awhile to tussle with and this silver likes to play with hats.
My 3 year-old has requested the following:
Picture of that black fox doing tricks
Picture of that black fox's little brother all growed up
Picture of the mom, brother, other brother, other brother, and other brother.
The names of the mom, brother, other brother, other brother, and other brother.
Heh. You can never satisfy kids.

In the fall of 2002, my neighbor across the field had a fox getting into her chickens and ducks, so she set a live-catch trap, and she caught it the first night. It was the night before Thanksgiving. The following morning she called us, so the wife, kids, and I jump into the truck and went for a visit. She had caught a young jet-black fox with a perfectly bright-white tuft on its tail. It's coat shined better than my labs coat did, and she had a nice coat. I still kick myself for not taking pictures. It was the most beautiful killing-machine I've ever seen.
Dave
I have seen jet black coyotes with silver in them out by hwy 83 on a couple of occassions. The one time i got one in the damn crosshairs he is at a full sprint, and I was shaking like a bitch to top it of. They are kinda rare,a nd a damn cool sight to see.
the new pic is awesome!!! would love to see more of him from time to time.
That's funny.
Great looking fox.
Quick fox story . . . . So I finally got one of my co-workers to go shooting with me. We went to that place where from Denver you take 285 to Pine Valley Rd and go 14.5 miles or so. I don't know the name of it. Anyways there was a bunch (way too many for my liking) of people there shooting and this fox just strolls up like hey guys what's all the noise about. Ted, the guy I took, decides he wants to feed the fox a donut stick. Not a good idea Ted but he does it anyway. Then he gets the fox to take a little piece out of his hand and it bit him. LOL. Didn't break skin but now nobody else will go shooting with me. Damn you Ted!!
