Take the gravel pull off and park in the open area, I used to park against the bushes to the SW and use the picnic table about 10 yards into the bushes. It was still there a couple of yeas ago the last time I stopped.
I was stationed there too, in 78-80 and worked at the airfield when the old WW2 style barracks were still near the hangers.
