I was doing some research on what type of Black Powder to use in a 'Traditions' Performance Muzzleloading .75 cal. Napolean cannon and found this video of what happens when you overload a Muzzleloader.

It's from iraqvet8888 and good information. They use modern CVA smooth bores to demonstrate the possible damage to the gun and the shooter. He mentioned how many Civil War battlefield pick-up muzzleloaders were still 'loaded' with several bullets (patch/powder/ball), that were packed in, during the chaos of battle, and never ignited.

The end shows a prime example of why you don't use smokeless powder in a ML.
