    Default Chimney Inspection?

I'd like to get our fireplace and chimney inspected this year. Does anyone on here have any experience or recommendations for me? I've done a little looking around, but am curious if I should be going through the management company for the apartment complex. It seems like it would be in their interest that I get the chimney inspected as well.

    Affirmative!
They probably have it scheduled for the whole complex.
If not... tell them you are hearing 'noises' in there.

I've lived here for going on three years and haven't had anyone come around for any maintenance issues.

Having worked in the apartment maintenance field you should contact the managers first. All maintenance work is part of your rent agreement.

I can't believe they put wood burning fireplaces in apartments. Just seems like a building fire waiting to happen. On a side note I have a friend that works for a complex and they had to take out a stove that someone had laid the door down. Piled up the coals then pulled the rack out over the coals. BBQ time baby!!!

I think this apartment building was built in the late 70's early 80's.
