I stopped by there while they were still unloading store stock. Very nice people. Hopefully they will get some .308 surplus at a decent price.

How would you describe this gunstore? Old man hunting store or Mall Ninja Jensens type store?

black rifles, parts acc, bolt action etc. stop in and look for yourself. it's an option for those looking for other shops. in NO. considering there are what 2-3 non chain stores, this is a welcome addition.

Here are the non chain stores I know of in NoCo:

Rocky Mountain Shooters Supply, Fort Collins
    Jensen Arms, Loveland
    Bear Arms, Windsor
    Elk Bomb Shooting Supply, Milliken
    Active Arms, Fort Collins
    Colorado Gun Works, Fort Collins

I won't EVER shop at Active Arms again. That guy that runs that place is just a blatant asshole for no reason and I refuse to give him my business. He makes the crew at Jensen's seem like Nordstrom's customer service by comparison.

Don't forget to add Jax to your list. I try to buy as much there before I go to any of the big name chains that funnel the profits out of state to corporate headquarters. They have lots of stuff and are quite helpful.

I get along well with them but the fact is they are not known for warm, friendly customer service especially if you're asking n00b-ish questions. This thread isn't about Jensen's though, theres a whole thread in this section dedicated to Jensen's so let's stay on topic here. This is a thread to discuss Bear Arms in Windsor and I hope to get over there pretty soon so I can report back too. I'm excited there is another shop in my area though. This is always good for the consumer.

I didn't list Jax because i thought the criteria for a chain store was more than one. Well now there is three if you count the Farm and Ranch store. I may be wrong about the definition of a chain store though.

Bear Arms in Windsor is a good spot. The owners are verrrry great people. They are a new store and trying to build. They understand great customer service. Give them a chance!

They'll answer questions without humiliation whether you're a newbee or not. They can also order just about anything they don't have in stock. Give them a try!

    Default Bear Arms Windsor Co

Bear Arms in Windsor is a good shop to deal with, they have a varied selection of weapons at competitive prices.
(o/u , tikka t-3, 700, ak-47, ar-15, Sig, Glock, taurus, smith&wesson Etc. with a few oddball rifles thrown in bullpup ak & a 50 cal upper for AR lower)
They sell new used & consignment weapons as well as optics ammo knifes and high quality axes.
They have a helpful staff that was able to answer all of my questions.
