    Default More computer help needed

So I recently changed my laptop over to Windows 7. Now it randomly freezes completely (no task manager, anything) and I have to completely reboot. Like I said it happens randomly, sometimes in firefox, sometimes in the IE included, Word, you name it. Anyone have a clue what is going on?

How long ago did you upgrade to 7? Downloaded all of the program updates after installing 7?

Any noises when it freezes, i.e. a noise from the hard drive (to where it would be the hardware failing and not just the computer programs freezing)?

When you turn it back on, does the notification flag popup in the bottom right where you clock, etc, is? sometimes that will tell you what the problem is and why it crashed.
