My boss' wife called me and asked if I could get him to stay late at work Friday. It's his birthday and she has some special surprise planned and can't get there until a bit later than our usual leaving.

I was thinking about trying to fake some awful crisis but it wouldn't work. He's basically a decent guy and when stuff happens late in the day he usually says to deal with it the next day.

I was thinking about letting the air out of one of his tires and bringing a pump with me but I don't want to damage it.

That's when I thought of a Denver boot. That would certainly keep him from driving away. Anybody have one I could rent?

If not - any suggestions? It has to be legal and not damaging to anything.
