    Default Another sign of the demise of the USA

    Homosexuals in the military is another sign of the decline of the United States of America. Corruption of the Judiciary, incompetence of the Executive branch and a lackadaisical Congress will bring the fall of this great nation. I am glad I am not serving "active duty".

    The same thing happened to the Roman Empire. History repeats itself, this time in the Western hemisphere. It is all downhill from here. What is next, a rainbow flag? Pink combat boots? I am disgusted. Will the VA have to compensate veterans for AIDS acquired during homosexual sex? I hope not.

    To serve in the military is a privelege, not a guaranteed right. The future of this nation depends upon a well disciplined military. Allowing homosexual behavior will destroy moral fiber of this nations armed forces. God save America!

    Glad to see you're so optimistic.
    I'm no history genius, but I'd like to think that the Roman empire didnt have as many "weapon owners" as we do... Our demise will be much more fun to read about in Maxim magazine.

    you do realize that homosexuals have served in the military when your father was in the military, when his father was in the military and his father was in the military.

    I couldn't care less what the sexual preference of the man (or woman) in uniform fighting for our country.

    Believe it or not, gay people love our country as much as you and me do. To think that homosexuals serving is "another sign of the demise of the USA" is incredibly narrow-minded (dare I say simple-minded).

    I don't know if you served, but I can tell you I cared more about whether the guy next to me could be counted on when SHTF, than who he was fucking.

    when i read the title i was expecting something interesting. i wouldn't consider this the demise of the US. im sure they said this when they integrated the military after WW2.

    Unfortunately, it is just one more thing in the pile.

    The military is a voluntary service that doesn't have to accept anyone it doesn't want to. You don't have a right to serve. What is next? Should we stop kicking people out for being overweight? Those that cannot pass their PT tests due to being unfit? "It isn't fair" is not a valid rallying cry for the small minorities who want to control and direct public policy.

    Those in the military were given until December to voice their opinions on this issue and now, why bother to do so as it doesn't appear that our leaders are interested in what the rank and file have to say about their own living and working conditions.

    That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
