DC was one of those places like Chicago that had a ban in place, but was overturned. So now, they require all firearms to be registered, so that's how they get away with this one

That area of DC is full of the people the 2nd Ammendnent was designed to protect us aganst, so naturally they have disallowed all firearms. (except, of course, the ones that they control)

The interesting part though according to the article is that they got him on "unregistered ammunition" not the guns.... what does that mean?

Schlosser says the unidentified man would be charged with unregistered ammunition and firearms offenses.
Seriously? we don't have to register the guns but we have to register the ammunition now?
    Something smells fishy

The truck was parked along the National Mall near the National Air and Space Museum Wednesday afternoon, when an officer noticed something suspicious inside.
Could this statement be any more vague?

if they don't like what you're doing, where you are, or who you are they WILL find a way to arrest you.

Not trying to start a cop bashing thread. Just wanted to get y'all's thoughts. This article seems to be soo vague that it merits research... And I'm curious about the "unregistered ammo" comment.

that area? that's a pretty nice area of DC; one of the few, hehe. Downtown DC proper is actually pretty nice, there are just some super scary areas around it. Or do you mean all the government folks? Because I agree with you there

No joke, especially in DC with all the crazy government agencies, secret service, etc...
