"There are no finger prints under water."
Don't be pissed off at the cops for enforcing laws be pissed at the morons making them. There has to be more to this story for sure.
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure you know the laws in each state as you pass through them. I don't agree with the laws necessarily but I am still going to follow them to the best of my ability.
I lived in DC for years, before the ban was overturned. It is a stupid, dangerous place. Citizens SHOULD be allowed to carry. The law now is that you have to register your firearms and you have to keep them in your home. DC and Maryland are NOT like Colorado where they allow the vehicle to be "somewhat" of an extension of your home.
Someone on another site mentioned the ammo comment. Stated that in DC you cannot have ammo of any caliber other than matching a registered firearm. Thus you have to register the gun...and can only have ammo to match it...anything other than matching ammo is "unregistered ammo". No registered shotgun, you better not get caught with shotgun ammo. No registered .22, better not have any .22 ammo.
As for the search...I would bet the cops looked into the vechicle and saw propane tanks... thought bomb and this would explain the bombsquad and such being called out. A search of the vechicle for bombs and they find guns and ammo. It all goes bad from there.
If you want peace, prepare for war.
So essentially what you are saying is that in DC you cannot buy ANY Ammo. You cannot take your weapon out of your home... but you have to have your registered firearm with you to buy the ammo...
so if you go to Wal-mart and pick up a box of pheasant shot for the shoot this weekend and get pulled over, you wind up on Fox news for unregistered ammo?
Now I am confused
edit: Every time I See propane tanks on a camper I Instantly become suspicious

Shit, I drive around with those hand held propane torches in my trunk.
Isn't DC the same place where you aren't allowed to have more than 3 condoms on your person or else you get charged with prostitution?
"There are no finger prints under water."
yeah the Baltimore / dc area is kinda mess up with there laws . yep its true , in dc more than 2 condoms and its a prostitution charge and its illegal to perform cunnilingus in Maryland (old law they never took away) . the biggest problem out there are the gun laws . The only people that the laws effect are law abiding citizens ( yep , thats not a new statement , lol ) . If for no other reason love Colorado its the gun laws .
