    Default Job market...signs of life...

While a far cry from "good" or even remotely acceptable I've seen some fledgling activity over the past ~2 months.

I've had two opportunities come my way, both unsolicited, and I've served as a reference for four others. All distinct and unrelated in various geographies, primarily IT Exec/Sr roles but...signs of life if nothing else.

Not trying to create false hope and maybe this is just a "blip" or fluke but...there is an under-current right now that I have not felt over the past couple of years (and its not the "cyclical stuff").

Interesting...and I hope a trend for the better.

My son, a resent college graduate, was just hired as a Mechanical Engineer. Took him about a year. So maybe it's getting better

I have spoken with several political/economic forecasters and they are in the belief that fiscal year 12 and 13 will start a good recover (which would start in July of 2011).

Lots of job recruiters around schools I've noticed. More then it was last year at least.
