I'm terribly disappointed that we've strayed so far of course. Seems I can't go a day without finding a thread that starts off with "level the building". Lethal force: It's a last resort. Everyone here should be particularly clear on that fact.

Yes, other country will try and pick the splinter out of our eye. You cannot expect us to criticize other countries (Iran, China, Russia) and not have them respond. I much prefer Ahmejinidad coming here and talking smack than having to send more US troops into Iran. There's some slim chance the change will come to Iran, even if we have to simply wait for younger generations to come to power.

It seems there was a time when other countries aspired to be what we were; and we're slowly becoming a cautionary tale. Participation in the U.N. is one of the (relatively small number of) things I disagree with Ron Paul about.
