This. Factory ammo, even "premium", is still factory ammo.

I reload but I still use factory for defense rounds. Of course I inspect them to make sure I don't have one of these but I don't expect a ton out of quality control when they are pumping out thousands of rounds a day.

see now we come to another issue.
I have read several times that the most feed failures that XDs experience are commonly from reloads, which gets into a whole other ball of wax that I don't want to visit here.

That to me is hogwash!! I've reloaded 45ACP for an XD in both HP and FMJ, and I've fired hundreds of reloads without issues.

I was simply stating what I had read here in our poly forums.(Yes I Research before I buy/Trade)
I am not stating it as fact, I was only saying that I had read it and would like to avoid that particular topic entirely. In consideration of the fact that I don't reload, it has no relevance to my situation.

Back to the Factory loads suggestions
    Thank you

You can add one each for Winchester Ranger, and Federal HST. I typically carry the Ranger 127gr +p+ the majority of the year, and will switch to the 147gr HST's once it gets cold out, for thicker clothing penetration. I've shot a couple hundred rounds of each, and never had an issue. The Rangers are very accurate, I hit a clay pigeon at around 75 yards with my G19, not a huge feat but I was impressed.

    Byte,
I wasn't taking a jab at you, I was refering to the readings that you spoke of. I apologize if I came accross a little too harsh.

Of all the defense rounds I've fired, I've never shot anyone with them, so I have no idea if they worked or not.

Instead of Remington sending you a box, they ought to send you a free case of ammo.
I was at our 200 yd. range about 3 months ago, this guy came up to a group of us. He had just bought what looked to us like a brand new box of 7 mm. Rem. Mag. Core-Lokt, at a local gun store. Early'er he had opened the box and noticed two different colored primer's seated in the primer pockets. He ask the group why that they would different? One of the group took a better inspection of the rounds and noticed extractor marks on the casing's and pronounced to that person that he just bought a box of reloads.
Of course the old rule is: that a person should inspect each and every round before it is loaded in the firearm.
My 30-06 Sako Model 75, likes Remington Core-Lokt Ultra's real well.
Also I've had two SQUIB LOADS {bullet stuck in barrel} in two of my pistol's with the cheapest Remington Thunderbolt 22lr ammo.
In my 454 Casull Ruger Super Redhawk, the Hornady XTP's spent shell casing's stick in the cylinder upon ejection.
No problem with 454 Corbon ammo, Winchester, Federal or Magtech.
