When Quest tore out our cable, I took the opportunity to replace out crap cabling with something better than "Whatever the builder got a deal on."

Low line noise, no disconnects, Speeds as advertised. Other than the occasional outage(which happens regardless of where you go) I have to say that our comcast is fairly solid and tight.

After many phone calls much has been resolved even though your going to love some of this.

The direct TV deal that was supposed to be saving me money by hooking up with qwest does not exist because I am already a qwest customer.

The qwest rep saying that there is no way I can save on my bill was wrong. I have found where I can and will but this has been a interesting time.

The case on the "leased" receiver. Yes they see where I turned it off two years ago and if the unit is yours you can do that but not with a leased receiver and no there is no record after where it shows that they sent me one after I turned it off. So if the unit belonged to them how was I able to turn it off...... The ghost of the computer is alive and there is no way to fix it (kinda).

They have NO PROBLEM with you buying old receivers and turning them on and off .

So how to fix this. They are going to send a box on there dime for me to return the "leased" receiver to them so I can shut off the service this winter.

In the spring I will go and buy another $20 301 receiver and have it activated. I will keep all the paperwork so that this one does not become "leased" I think that the case of me not shutting off my 301 last winter triggered something to say "MINE" in there system.

I am going to laugh if in a month a box comes back and they tell me that the receiver I sent is not theirs.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

I threaten to leave Comcast every 12 months and they always give me the best new customer price again for another 12 months. Works every time.

I've had a terrible experieance with direct tv. Service is good, but every other month they have serious mistakes on my bill. To the tune of overcharging me by $100-200. Takes about another full month to get it fixed.

As soon as my contract is up I'm looking for another option.

We're about a week away from canceling satellite tv service. I just received a ROKU box last night that does all the streaming TV off the internet. Including an Firearms channel which looks interesting.

With Netflix, and Hulu Plus (coming in a few weeks) subscriptions, it's 19 bucks a month, can't beat that.
Shot Works Pro... It's better than scrap paper!!!
You can use the discount code 'Take5' for 5 bucks off.

Rgr all the sentiments. With Hulu, netflix, et al online, there is no need to even have cable. TV is not worth it anymore with 20 minutes of show and 40 minutes of commercials.

Yeah, if i didn't get DIRECTV for free, I wouldn't pay for service with how much is available online
