Every once in a while Big-5 will have a sale on some of the CRKT knives for $19.99 coupled with one of their coupons I have bought a couple for $17 a piece.

When I carry a knife it's a Cold Steel Recon 1 Tanto half serrated. I've been looking for a smaller 'pocket' knife with an easy open mechanism and a lock. Something I can carry every day would be nice.
Stock photo, oops thats not a half serrated model

Of course, I keep multitools and other stuff in my truck's locked toolbox, but I carry a Case Russlock every day. Takes a wonderful edge and the one hand opening can't be beat. Not much of a combat knife, I grant you (but I CCW a gun for that purpose), still, one heck of a good pocket knife!
Thats a nice knife, I think it'll go on my Christmas list.

I really like that Cold Steel Recon 1, however it is quite large for daily carry. Wonder if they make a smaller version (haven't looked yet).

I don't know if I want it anymore. Both you, and the guy that made that awesome survival video told me that it has problems retaining an edge.

Speaking of knives with blade issues...
