I really like that Cold Steel Recon 1, however it is quite large for daily carry. Wonder if they make a smaller version (haven't looked yet).

I don't know if I want it anymore. Both you, and the guy that made that awesome survival video told me that it has problems retaining an edge.

I carry the CRKT M16-13SF as my EDC. I like the handguard, plus it makes it possible to open as I pull it from my pocket/waistband, if the need should arise. It also has a manual locking device that turns pretty much to a fixed blade. I like the sturdiness of this knife.
I used to carry the CRKT M16-10KZ as my EDC but I opted for SF model with the additional ridge to open as you pull it out, with the clip reversed for blade-up carry. I keep this smaller one in my backpack for use when I don't have my SF13 on me.
