NB I-25 Closed At County Line Rd

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. -- An accident triggered a massive multi-car pile-up in Larkspur Monday morning. The Colorado State Patrol said northbound I-25 is shutdown for three miles near Larkspur. Multiple injuries have been reported.

Northbound I-25 is now closed at County Line Rd due to accident near Larkspur. Alternate routes are Highway 105 or Highway 83.

Trooper Nate Reid said about 20 vehicles were involved in three separate crashes on the highway, where light snow fell Monday morning. One was jack-knifed tractor-trailer which was leaking fuel.

El Paso and Douglas County emergency medical personnel are on site.

Officials are warning of snowy and slushy conditions because of snow moving south from the Denver area.

I thought this sort of thing always happened during the first snow of the year. What a mess. Hope they're all OK.
