Medal of Honor Awarded

I actually have wondered that myself, if certain people have gotten certain awards just to boost someone else's political career (I am not implying this soldier did not deserve the MOH). I am however implying that piece of shit politicians disrespectfully use military members to advance their own careers through PR. I also wonder how many military members deserve medals of valor but don't get them because it isn't on someone else's agenda.

Maybe that should be for another thread, I would like to keep the honor of what that soldier did in this thread.

Vernon Baker and six others were awarded the medal of honor in the 90's for actions in WWII for which medals were withheld because they were black.

Ed Freeman and Bruce Crandall didn't get theirs for more than 30 years because at the time there was a two year limit that was missed.

I'm sure there's been lots of times when bureaucratic snafus and bullshit have prevented the awards from being given.

I'd be suspicious of obama with SSG Giunta, but his action took place in 07, and he was recommended for the citation before barry was elected.
