If you've shot a .45 and a .40 you will notice that the .40's recoil is sharp and the .45's recoil is more blunt.

I have owned the Glock 35, 22, 23, and 27. The .40 is not an uncomfortable round to shoot until you spend some time on the 27. The sharper recoil makes the 27 uncomfortable to shoot (there is not as much surface area to grab onto on the 27).

In my opinion it's too much round for that small of a platform.
