There's a documentary out there that discusses exactly what M888 is talking about; Islam, What the West Needs to Know.

Seen it, and agree with the content. One of the interviewee's in the documentary is a Palastinian Hamas member that converted to Christianity after years of dealing with the insanity. They discuss how westerner's see thing things based on culture and how it differs from the muslim culture. It's an eye-opener.
