I saw her in the big picture of all the freshmen Congressmen with a goofy hat sitting way up high on her head. I thought it was a joke or something...guess not.

For a second there, I thought it was not only a hat, but a bird, too!
She's older than I. I was raised to take a hat off when entering a house, for several reasons.
1. It's outdoor appearal and doesn't need to be worn inside
Exception: (Can be argued fashion for women.. but I think it's stupid)
2. Sign of respect for the homeowner
3. Tradition from the 18th century time of gentlemen ettiqute and top hats
I think the bigger question is why does she feel that she HAS to wear the hat in doors. It is of no consequence to her ability to do her job if she's wearing a hat or not. This type of crap should be thrown out of the house and she should be disbarred (or whatever the apprpiate term is) for wasting tax payer time and money.... grrr.
I think that her bringing this up as her first act as a congress person is a testament to her ability. What a moron.
