people that say things like "air travel is not a RIGHT, it's a PRIVILEGE" make me want to fucking puke.

the constitution does not grant rights, and it does not say what we can and can't do.

it tells the government what it can do, not what we can't.

and all rights are inalienable to us and all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution are MINE.

that includes starting an airline and flying where I want, or buying a ticket on an airline that someone else has started.

it includes driving, without a seatbelt, and riding without a helmet.

it includes big macs, tackle football and porn.

it includes being able to say ****** and fag without getting sued, as well being free from discrimination if you're black or gay.

the government has been in place for hundreds of years, all the while with legislators thinking up things to legislate.

they keep writing more and more laws, enacting more and more control every term, while exempting themselves and getting rich.

time to slash, burn and replant.

With all the rallying the right wingers are doing against the TSA's "Rapiscan" technology, I believe, I never heard even a peep out of them when Bush, Cheny and the rest of the Repub's were trying to force the Patriot Act down our throats!

    You got that right.

However, the current resident hasn't done anything to change it now has he.

If fact, I could argue that obama is Bush the 3rd because obamalamadingdong has not only continued Bush policies but actually made them bigger.

Yep, I remember wrongly supporting the Patriot Act when I was in college. Now I know better.

Then you're not paying attention. Here's just one recent example:

This is probably the same reason why Ryan_Th3_K1d is being so willing to give away his rights (and everyone else's) for "the greater good".

On post #22 he mentions that he is not old enough to drink... Sadly he's shown to be old enough to spew idiocy for all of those that are willing to listen. I guess the old adage "youth is wasted on the young" proves itself true yet once again!

I know that I wasn't paying attention earlier this century.

    I'm paying attention now though.
