"There are no finger prints under water."
Well BluCore has their website up and it looks like it's worse than before...
You have to shoot their ammo on their pistol range. On the rifle range you can shoot your own.
See 2nd paragraph: http://www.blucoreshootingcenter.com/range.htm
I don't live by there and have only been there once, but it is such a nice place that I would go once and awhile if the rules weren't so damned anal. I can understand prohibiting steelcore ammo etc, but most shooters aren't going to go shoot there if they make it cost prohibitive or a PITA. If you bought new SD ammo and you want to make sure it functions in your gun, you're not going to go there.
I was hoping this time around the new owners would be cool and cater to their clients.
Loyalty Above All Else, Except Honor
At first the ammo thing pissed me off, but I think I might give this place a try. Having a retail store and range so close to my house will be nice, and their gun rental policy looks pretty outstanding (although I'm sure you have to pay to feed all the guns you rent). That being said, I think they will learn quickly that not being able to use your own ammo will turn away a lot of customers. If their prices are fair though, then what's the problem? If they have a good selection, what's the difference between getting your stuff there and getting it at another store? Just saves an extra trip IMO.
I think you guys are pre-judging this place. Sure it's not fulfilling our dreams for a range, but let's give it a try before we bring the hate, shall we?
If I cannot go to the range with my own ammo, reloads or factory, it's not worth going. I might go and buy a box of ammo to check the place out, but I reload to shoot cheap and often.
Good point, but I think maybe for folks who aren't into reloading maybe it won't be such a big deal.
This is assuming that their ammo is reasonably priced, of course.
Just call me 47
if its like some of the other ranges in the area, you can expect to pay about twice what you can get in the box stores (which are marked up as it is.)
the primary thing keeping me out.
http://www.blucoreshootingcenter.com...ange-Rules.pdf.• Firearms being transported to and from the facility must be secured inside a case
or holster (if holstered, your firearm needs to be clear and safe prior to entering.
• Loaded firearms are not allowed anywhere on the premises except inside the

Enforcement only).
ALL FIREARMS ON THE PREMISES WILL BE CLEARED AND SAFE AT ALL TIMES
UNLESS IN USE ON THE RANGE
So essentially they would appreciate it if you surrender your rights at the door please.
It's not a surrendering of your rights, quit being a drama queen.
