    i was going to say.....

i work for target and this sounded about as far off as possible from what i have seen and experienced at target. theyve always come off to me as one of the most giving retail companies. the stuff they do for their employees is pretty nice and they don't make you jump through lots of hoops. i hope when i graduate ill get a job as a pharmacist there if i don't do clinical, it really doesn't get any better

I was just at Target for several painful hours tonight. I've sworn to myself that I would close my Kohl's card as soon as I could, but tonight just settled it even more (it's been several years).

Kohl's sucks my balls and Target has way better stuff.

I'm not a fan of Target or Walmart, super or otherwise. I'm also not a fan of Home Depot or Lowe's. Their prices are lower, yes. But their selection usually sucks because they're trying to be everything to everybody. When I want hardware, I go to Ace. When I want food, I go to Safeway, or maybe King Soopers. When I want a gun, I go to a gun store and not to Dick's or Sports Authority (Once again, selection sucks....) and that way I usually find what I need and not what they want to stock, or what always sells more than XX in a certain amount of time. I like going to a specialty store for specialty items, because I KNOW that the majority of the time, they'll have what I want. I will go to Sears, because they have Craftsman and Kenmore. And I will admit to going to Walmart for Wranglers...

Word to Ace. I went there a bunch of times back when I turbocharged my car. Also, good luck finding a 2.5" allen head bolt in 1/4 fine thread at Home Depot or Lowes.

Target has a corporate policy of not allowing any entity to solicit it's customers, for fear if they allow one, they must allow them all.

Support your local Mom & Pop shops. A bit more expensive but the
service is excellent and they usually have everything you need

^^^ Agree; when you can find them.

The bog box stores (Lowes, Home Depot, WalMart, Target, Sams Club, Costco, etc.) have all but put the Mom-&-Pop stores out of existence.

I tried to shop at SmartCo, but they're done for already. Not that they were "mom n' pop".

If this economic crisis gets worse this is going to be critical.
