+1 on that. The last time I went in there I was looking for a Mossberg 930, and I got so much attitude I just walked out. Figured I should probably give my cash to a shop that actually wanted my business...

I have bought several firearms and numerous other items from Jensen Arms, never had a bad experience. Bought my first AR there when they were still on 4th Street. I go there frequently since they are only 5 minutes form my house.

I took my friend there to purchase his first handgun. Being a total noob he wanted to check out pretty much everything in the case. We spent about 30 minutes narrowing down the choices before he finally purchased a CZ. The employee was very knowledgeable and patient with us the whole time.

i'll give my report: I've been there twice, and have had good experiences both times, one just slightly better than the other.

The first was early 2010. Nobody asked if i needed anything, but when i did ask a question, it was answered very helpfully. No rudeness at all.

Second time was the saturday before mothers' day 2011. the place was packed, but two employees came up and asked if i needed help--very polite, very helpful. they didn't have what i wanted, but it was certainly not a negative experience.

But--do they charge 3% upcharge on Credit Cards?

I don't know if they do or not vs. their posted price, but every vendor that takes credit cards in payment for goods or services pays about 2 to 3% on every transaction. That margin gets added to the price one way or another.

The credit card up charge is an old policy.

I have shopped with Jensens for about 11 years and three locations. I'm sure that I have had over a hundred visits. I have noticed a change in the demeanor of the employees for the better. Also Dave the guy that is the Web Sale guy and Jensen Arms here is top shelf. Deal with Dave with confidence. Give them another chance. Also all of their pricing is very competitive.

If you buy a can from our store, no transfer fee. If you have a can transferred from another dealer, then $50 fee.

    Thanks

    First ever visit last Friday...
Fantastic selection, busy, but knowledgable and courteous staff. I understand why people travel to visit this shop. I found all items I went in for and a few I didn't know I needed Decent selection of handgun ammo... could offer more- but it was competitively priced. extensive rifle ammo - reasonable prices. Awesome selection of accessories, clothing, firearms and military items.
I dig it and I'll be back this week.

another great report: knew what i wanted--didn't need to shop, andt my only opportunity was to go on Saturday. Of course, there's the 3 deep layer of lookers, salivators, and BSers' at the gun counter. i stood, waiting my turn, and the very nice guy behind the counter recognized what probably was a little irritation on my face--i told him what i wanted, and was out of there in a very short amount of time.

i've got no problem with folks that have absolutely no intention of buying anything spending time setting up camp at the counter, but this clerk was able to see through the goobs and make a sale. i can't tell you how many sales have been left on the counter in situations like that at other stores.
