    ive seen some of the type3 stuff even in battlfield condition go for top dollar-$100+ then again you can find them from overseas sources advertising them as "airsoft" for cheaper prices
    they mark them as airsoft for there regs so they can export them

    I thought it might be "somthing" I'm going to clean off the old and bad (like an archeologist) with some stripper and see what comes of it. There's some plastic wood that needs to come out. Definately battlefield wood.

    you never know what lies underneath all the built up crud-might be some interesting markings
    i like cleaning up some of the battle stocks-but like you said"like an archeologist" as not to mess up the been there done that look
    be kinda neat to make some kind of an adapter that you can mount a milled stock on a stamped reciever
