This is good advice. Tom knows what he's talking about.

I wish I'd had more "trigger time" with the weapons I carried (M9 / M16 / M870) before I joined the Air Force. The only time I actually got to SHOOT was when I qualified every 6-months.

    I have a P220 (.45) that I have been using for 3gun.
It's good, only drawback is the 7 & 8 round mags.

I have switched to my HK USP45F, at 10/mag I don't have to do so many reloads.. you'd be surprised what 2+ rounds/mag will do!

back to the Sig. It's a great gun, I'm not going to sell it unless I get a GREAT deal or am wanting cash quick.

too bad I just saw this thread, I would have been happy to let you test drive mine

Same same... I have a 220 that I love, but ya gotta respect the durablity of the Glocks. The 21 fat around the grip, but it isn't hard to get use to.

Good hunting.. and just remember, unless you're taking some good training, just about anything you teach yourself about shooting between now and Basic isn't gonna ammount to much, they're just going to retrain you their way

Neither pistol is the most durable option from either manufacturer

In both cases, their 9MM's are the real workhorses and their 45's are more problematic

The rangers are NOT buying g21's...but if you really want one of the above

I would decide which operating system you want DA/SA or DAO
