Yeah, and this is not some mom-and-pop shop either. They have 150+ employees. I forgot to mention, we can choose the cheaper plan they now offer, only about $4k/year more then we pay now, but the coverage is about 1/3rd of the coverage we have now. Now isn't that nice of them to give us a special deal. Fuckers.

This was a very good plan with United Health Care which has been great for us while we had a baby and my wife had surgery among other things...but damn, so much for buying great insurance for our family. We'll now have to get the cheap ass insurance from my employer that doesn't cover shit.

The US Government - making sure hard working Americans take it in the ass.

Exactly...I didn't think it would go up that much that fast...makes me sick to think what it will do in the years to come.

The Number for the Day is 222.

That's how many waivers have been issued allowing certain companies, unions and other organizations to opt out of one provision or another of Obamacare.

This is truly insane. My mind can't comprehend how the people in this country got so dumb. Even while other countries like England are jumping off the sinking socialist ship by now making their kids actually pay for an education for example, we in America continue to climb aboard no matter how many people tell us we're going to drown.

I have heard more statements similar to this than I care to count. I understand why too. I believe the "fine/tax" for not having health coverage is around 800.00. You can still go to a hospital if sick or such. Why would one spend 5K annually if basically healthy for insurance when you could just pay the "fine/tax"?

As far as the big FU to anybody who supported Oblunder, Udall, Bennet and such I concur and also say thanks.

As for the rant I am giving it a 9 out of 10.
Context and articulation was good, with a brazen dash of profanity adding tastefully to the delivery.

Plain and simple...if you voted for the democrats you are the enemy.

Yup, that's the way to go. And if you get really sick just enroll and pay for insurance until you get better. Then drop out.

Our insurance is going UP $5,000 so we will be paying about $8,000 out-of-pocket per year in 2011 for a family of 3...that's after the employer contribution. We are paying about $3,000 now for the exact same coverage. The employer is paying the same amount as their contribution next year, but the employees are responsible for 100% of the 2011 cost increase.

I'll take that $800 fine any day over that.
