A government mandates that it's citizens purchase a service. The ensuing regulations and kickbacks cause any private carriers of said service to dramatically raise its rates to where many can no longer afford it. This causes those that cannot afford it to rely on the above named government for said service.
= the rich will have the private care and the non rich will suffer the public care.

This is truly insane. My mind can't comprehend how the people in this country got so dumb. Even while other countries like England are jumping off the sinking socialist ship by now making their kids actually pay for an education for example, we in America continue to climb aboard no matter how many people tell us we're going to drown.

^^^THIS, a good friend of mine is a LEGAL immigrant from "across the pond", and back when Obummer first started up with his "health care reform" talk, my friend was more passionately against it, than anyone else I spoke with about the topic. Just flat out DOES NOT work PERIOD, and was one of the many reasons he came to the United States.

The wife and I were feeling it just the other day when our new premium came in the mail. Ours has gone up almost $4k this year. We buy our own individual plans. Change plans NOW if you can before they get grandfathered in NEXT MONTH! Yes its a shitty convoluted piece of legislation designed to confuse and push people out of their plans and into the governments hands.

Not to stray from bashing O and the Dems, but it is absolutely crazy how much the cost of insurance rises when you go from Single to couple to family. I only pay for coverage for myself, but some of my co-workers who have spouses and kids pay WAY more than I do. Almost makes a person not want to get married or have kids.

Mine only went up $300 this time I was suprised!!! But I am sure their will be other changes I dont see, I know some stuff that was covered is no longer covered.
