Really?? I've heard that they're ammo sensitive but not unreliable! Mine has a shit ton of ammo thru it and eats the federal bulk packs but not the Remington bulk packs from walmart.

It's almost always the ammo. I've never seen a rimfire gun choke on CCI mini-mags - bulkpack, not so much. If you're remotely considering use of a 22 as a defense gun, I wouldn't try saving money on the ammo.
    9mm - because they don't make a 9.1mm

hey all been away for awhile. Wow didn't mean to cause a ruckus. She is an experienced shooter. I have a shotgun and a Berreta .32 at her house alone which is what she would use. I should have clarified that, sorry. Just advice on the best .22 handgun you all think is best please.

In that case, my next .22 pistol is gonna be a Buckmark or Ruger MKII/III

I have the P22 and its fun for plinking but I want a plinking/target pistol(hence above). What do you want it to do?

I have a Buckmark pistol and a Buckmark rifle. Great guns. They always run and I have never had a problem with any ammo I shoot through them.
The enemy of my enemy...... Is just one more set of targets to engage

Well I'd go with either the Browning Buckmark or Ruger MKII/III since they come in all sorts of varieties

Best .22 pistol?.... My Colt Diamondback 4" barrel.

Thinking I might need one of the soon to be released Browning 1911-22. I always wanted one of the small auto Llamas that shot 22. Never came across the chance to pick one up decent.
