I'll have to look again but that last I heard the only college that allowed CCW was CSU.

Back to the original question, I would jump around acting like a monkey and freak them out. Sure you feel like an ass but your atleast going to give some seperation from them if even just enough to pull. I also like the pointing Idea, reminds me of working concerts and getting a crowd to loose the crowd mantality.

I thought there was a ruling not too long ago mandating that community colleges couldn't ban CC. Probably in one of the threads about CU's anti-gun moves.

I was actually hoping to hear some discussion of the Colorado law here by you who have given some thought to it in situations like this:

    (1) Except as provided in subsections (2) and (3) of this section, a person is justified in using physical force upon another person in order to defend himself or a third person from what he reasonably believes to be the use or imminent use of unlawful physical force by that other person, and he may use a degree of force which he reasonably believes to be necessary for that purpose.

    (2) Deadly physical force may be used only if a person reasonably believes a lesser degree of force is inadequate and:

    (a) The actor has reasonable ground to believe, and does believe, that he or another person is in imminent danger of being killed or of receiving great bodily injury....

What circumstances in this very real scenario taking place repeatedly on the campus would lend itself to or take away from meeting this law? When in the act of these three guys asking for a cigarette would the law's contingencies be met in your thinking?

With the first offensive act (making an offensive move) the assailants would have passed the threshold for reasonable belief of imminent danger of bodily harm. Because there are multiple assailants(and a history of attacks on this campus), I believe that a case could be made for "fear of great bodily injury or death". Regardless, if someone had shot one of these punks, most likely they would have to (expensively) make that argument to a jury.
