    There is currently a thread by someone selling a ton of PMAG's for $11/ea.

    I'm interested in these but realize that, based on his location & mine, the savings in the few I'd purchase would be eaten away in gas and I'd rather not buy them without checking them out first (no shipping).

    Because this user has his location listed (in his profile), I can quickly and easily determine that this is not a deal I'm interested in getting in on so I don't waste his time or any more of my own.


    Let's face it, if anyone on this site is going to be able to be tracked down by anyone, including the .gov, those doing the tracking won't need you to post your location in your profile - they'll have the tools they need to find you no matter what you have ever posted or listed in your profile.

    Listing your location is a courtesy to the other users. Identifying the town or community (Denver, Greeley, Pawnee, Conifer, Highlands Ranch) is appreciated by most of us. But "Front Range" or "Western Slope"? Really? Why bother? It certainly isn't sufficient enough for posting items in the Trading Post.

    Just sayin'.

    but being more serious, its a body of water near my residence so that people get an idea of where I live without worrying about weirdos knocking on my door.
