    Someone might be able to distort it into "menacing" or some other vague law.

    At the very least it might get you police attention, and if you don't have a CCW....well I guess you get a slap on the wrist. But its still illegal.

    No, its not. When that does happen and a couple of cops see it, it opens you up to being contacted, having your CCW permit inspected and if you didn't have one, arrested for illegally concealing a firearm on your person.

    We made an assessment of the person and decided to not further investigate. Whether he was a CCW holder or a newbie cop or someone illegally concealing a weapon, I don't know.

    As with most things in law enforcement, it is a discretionary action event.

    I made an assumption that the person might be here on the forum, given there are a number of people here who list Highlands Ranch as their home and others who live close by from here.

    it certainly developed into a topic of discussion for me and my buddy as well as here.
