Outraged!! My lunch experience:

Lunchtime, I went to Subway. A large bodied female was trying to buy a sandwhich. She pulled out at least three credit cards, all declined. She then proceeded to waste 5 minutes by cursing out everyone (but herself) while shuffling through her purse. She pulls out a book of foodstamps! Cashier informs her that she cannot take them. The lady THROWS the book at the cashier and said, "look you white bitch, you'll take whatever I @#$^& damn give to you mother @#$^&." Before I can wipe the shock off my face the boss comes around teh corner and tells her to leave as he called the cops. She grabs teh sandwhich and leaves without paying for it!

I get my sandwhich, pay for it and leave an extra $10 (ouch my wallet) in the tip jar hoping it would cover the ladies meal. While pulling out of the parking lot I see the same lady coming out of the liquor store next door with 2 24 packs of beer in a cart!! WTF?! What is wrong with people. I was outraged.

No, the manager never called the cops. It was a bluff. I stayed there for about 15 minutes thinking I'd give them her liscene number, they never showed so I went back into Subway to ask if he really called. Nope...


I'm just outraged... grrrr.... Unacceptable behavoir on ANYONE's part no matter race/ethinicity/religion/sex/culture/etc.. WTF?!?!

Honorable move on your part bear. Subway can cover the sandwich, but those workers deserve a little bonus now and then for putting up with stuff like that. Wish the manager would have called the cops too.

Dunno! That was part of the outrage, I'm assuming she paid CASH... which she should've used for her sandwhich. I did a doubletake when I saw her exiting and almost hit a parked car, lol.

I'm not sure how foodstamps work, though I was really close to getting them about a year ago. But I'm pretty positive that liquor is a no-no. And the items you can buy are from a grocery store and only certain things then, like milk/bread/cheese/etc... not from a fast food chain.

Are you sure it was food stamps? Actual food "stamps" are no longer used, they get an EBT card that works just like a credit card but is only valid at certain locations.

Neg, I'm not completely positive, though she stated very clearly in that "dis here shit be my @#$%^& foodstamps @#$%^&, take 'em."

Rgr, when I almost applied last year they told me it would be like a debit card thing. But this lady pulled out a small blue "book" and from what I saw, it did say "US...Foodstamps" on it.

I don't know. Either way, it was uncalled for behavoir.
