    what do you guys prefer, the ladder type, or the full covers?

    Depends on the guards-I have full on my S&W MP 15-22 and ladders on my Stag 2TL.

    Ladder type. Try to keep the handguard size and weight down.

    Ladder, when I use them.

    The edges on most of my railed fore-ends are made by LaRue and are not as sharp as cheese graters like some I have felt.

    I put some knoghts armament on mine, and they are a little rough on the hands, I think I am gonna go with the magpul ladder type, in FDE anyone know if these have a rubbery feel to them?

    I use XTM panels at 3-6-9 o'clock and ladder covers up top.
