    for what it's worth, I've seen the hollow point .17HMR rounds fragment on a leaf... doesn't take much for them to come apart- so if they hit a feather, then it would be tiny fragments that would enter the turkey...

    I doubt they would penetrate much through the feathers. 20gr hollow points might work better.

    Before you think about taking a Colorado Turkey, I think you should check the regs on method of take. It has to be a certain caliber and I don't leagaly you can use a rifle??

    I use C-4 on Colorado turkeys. WTF?
