Default Fatty McFatts on a goal....

    Ok,
What is the best stomach/ab/"lovehandle" workout you know?

I can do situps all day long and they don't seem to help. I know cardio and eating right is the first rule/step. I'm just sick of being fat in the stomach/lovehandles area and would like to try some different routines. So whatcha got?

    Thanks guys,
    Tim BigBear

I hear that aerobic exercise is what you need, such as bikes, elliptical machines, etc. Go to a gym and tell them what you want to do, they can probably hook you up. I'll probably be a lardass until I die.

Cardio, eat right, cardio, eat right, cardio, eat right......................... Running is best, but even a bike would be a good start depending on where you are at right now. Do a google search on some good foods for weight loss, and set up a 5 (or so) meals a day plan, eat every couple hours. I wouldn't even worry about crunches/situps at this point.

I've been lazy a couple times in my life now, but i've done a great job of getting back in shape (from 5'9" 230 to 160 right now), I run a few miles a day 4 days a week and regularly do pull ups and dips throughout the week. You can do it too, once you get into a routine, it's very simple and becomes a lifestyle. If I were down in the Springs, i'd be more than happy to help you out as far as training is concerned.

I'm with ya Bear. I got to my local fitness center 3-4 times a week. I feel great and I know it helps my all around health but handle loss-nope. I've been told that you need aggressive exercise to make a real difference. Not exactly sure what that means but apparently it's not what I'm doing.

No one can ever have the correct answer for this, everyones body is diffrent and your intake and output are diffrent as well.

I think you need to focus on diet, processed foods metaboize better thus turn to fat easier, try moving to whole foods only and dont forget you need to use more calories then you intake.

That being said, you are going to have to try everything to find your right answer for your body.

This is a good site for tracking your food intake and weight loss, it definitely puts things into perspective, it's not much fun counting calories, but it helps to motivate once you start seeing results.

You've been talking to my wife? Kidding. Good advice.

Rgr. Running huh? "I don't run" If I can't kill it, it deserves to kill me. HAHA.

I have horrible knees due to them both being broken along with the left femur and right shin in my car wreck, so even after 10+ years, it's still kinda hard on me to run full out for any length of time. I'm more of a sprinter than an endurance guy, HAHAHA.

But no excuses, I do have acess to a bike and that will work as well.
