    Default Weatherby PA-08

Anyone got an opinion on the Weatherby PA-08 pump? I'm looking to pick up a backup for bird hunting and have seen this in the paper a lot for $300. Kind of pricey compared to Mossbergs and some 870's but looks and feels nicer. Drawbacks I see so far are the 3" chamber (no 3.5) and the wood is almost too shiny for my taste but I can get over it.

I've got one, won it at a friends of nra auction.
it's a nice gun, looks pretty, seems solidly put together (I've never shot it)

it seems better than an express, not as good as a wingmaster. (which is right where it's priced)

Long LOP, if that's important to you.

I've got mine for sale (doesn't fit the rest of my collection) in the firearms section down below.

The Weatherby PA-08 is a solid reliable shotgun. Seen the synthetic models below $300 and the wood ones for around $325.

I have their SA-08, which has served me well on the skeet/trap range and upland bird hunting.
