I often wonder about a persons real reason for an apology.
Most people apologize to avoid the fallout of their actions. Some apologize to gain sympathy.
Still others apologize in remorse for their actions and the impact they have caused.
To have created such a negative impact and taken Moderators from their family and/or Holiday activities for such a selfish and shallow cause, I would expect the apology to be a bit less focused on what people are saying to you and be a bit more selfless.
Just my observations.
