    Default I want to sell, but I need yalls help...

    I recently acquired a like new handgun from my uncle who thought he lost it or his ex gf stole it. Either way he's a felon and shouldn't have had it, so he gave it to our family as a gift. And my dad wants me to sell it, but it's possible it could be stolen (because my uncle received it as payment for some mechanic work on a vehicle) and I'm wondering where to call to find that information out. My uncle just moved from Texas, and I couldn't find anything on the web. It's too late to call anywhere tonight. So if any of you guys have any suggestions on who to call or if I'm just being paranoid. Any help is appreciated.

    Definitely check it out with the local PD. It's better to be safe than to be found with a stolen firearm later!

    Sounds like a can of worms. The PD will want answers if it is indeed stolen. Involving family could get nasty. Better to CYA though.
