    Might be something to consider

It really is your decision though
As a parent and a free-thinking adult it is your decision and responsibility.

As such I am sure that if there were an incident for which you knowingly might have prevented that resulted in loss of life or property, you would accept the responsibility.

This is EXACTLY the position I've always had on seatbelt laws. But, you left out the part that once a person turns 18, there should be no legislative requirements...if they're dumb enough to not wear a seat belt, it's just more chlorine for the gene pool.

Stuart - as far as teh cap gun and the 30% or so of caps that fail to ignite in the gun, just do as my friends and I did when we were kids...use a rock with a pointed edge to smash those caps to make 'em pop. No sense in wasting a perfectly good cap. (Just so long as you don't bust it in my @$$.)

Already beat you to it Ginsue.

Byte Stryke, I'm ahead of you on the responsibility as well. I already canceled my life insurance AND my renters insurance. If I burn down the whole building in a freak cap gun accident, I wouldn't want to inconvenience anyone with higher insurance rates.

I still contend that government officials should be held to a HIGHER standard than the general public in that if you break the law you should not only have to face the same punishment everyone else does (which even that they often escape by pulling strings behind the scenes) but you should also be fired from your position and charged with the crime of "dereliction of duty".

If you're going to place yourself in the position where you can write laws the proles must obey than you should be willing to go above and beyond and follow the law even better than the average person.

I find it interesting too, after buckling my kids in child seats, and booster seats for the last 10 years, they will not get into a vehicle without putting the regular seat belt on.

    Yeah!

I can't say what I feel about this matter, but it involves Bill Ritter, Rob Blagoyavich, a motorcycle with a side car, sleeping pills, and the Grand Canyon.

It would take the rest of the internet to expand on my utter disappointment at politicians and the crimes they get away with.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) says Williams' Honda CRV veered into on-coming traffic for an unknown reason.
How much we wanna bet that there was a cell phone in Mrs. Williams' hand at the time?
