    Default Pawnee was great today

Took my 9 year old daughter out for the first time today.
    Pawnee was short-sleeve shirt weather.
Shot my Arisaka for the first time today.

    Life is good!

Didn't get to shoot...but I did get to put about 150 rare, mid-winter miles on the Harley with a few buddies. I got home in Bailey right around sundown...it was a bit chilly by then.

    Yeah, not mine though
Back at the south site several years ago, another COAR member was letting the kids take turns on the FA uzi.

    Default Pawnee

I was up there yesterday too. A number of people shooting but my son and I were hunting coyotes. We drove a fair amount and then then did some calling. Saw one, a long way away running at full speed away from us. Saw nothing else, not even one rabbit. We did see some praraie dogs but always on private property. Other than antelope, that place seems pretty barren. We've seen only two decent coyotes up there in many trips, both extremely wary, and in a full run away from us as we were driving. We've had a little success in calling, but all we ever call in is young and small coyotes.

My son would love to get a nice coyote pelt, if anyone knows of a spot where we may have a little better luck shoot me a pm. It was a pretty nice day to be up there and out of the house though, no doubt about that.

I took my 8 & 13 year old boys out to Pawnee up north. My youngest went through 100 rounds of .22LR through his Henry Mini Bolt. He shot the hell out of the target. He also likes the MP15-22 as well, but doesn't like loading the mags.... hahaha. My oldest boy shot my 9mm and both of my .40s.... he handled both really well.

The Pawnee was great today too. The wind stopped about 11am. And we shot out to just this side of 1000yards. We shot my 50bmg and killed some steel plates. the 50 sails through the 1/2" cold rolled steel at 500-800. The picture is 1 1/4" cold rolled plate. at 300 yards it penetrated about 1/2". We each put about 50 rounds of .308 out at the far targets. And we shot some .223. it was nice and warm.
