    Default Build or buy complete

    I never have built an AR. And have been thinking about buying a stripped lower and parts kit and doing my own attempt at building.

    What do you guys think. Buy complete or build how hard is it?
    anything to look out for etc

    I built my last one and my thoughts are : understand the works of the gun better-took my time and custom built as I went-a lot easier than you may think-usually more affordable unless you go crazy on the custom built idea-complete tutorials to build on ARFCOM (I know a lot of guys don't like that site but a wealth of info on there)- buy quality and you'll be fine. I started with a Stag stripped lower. Got my LPK from Bower's and went from there.

    As long as you have mastered tinker toys or legos, You can pretty much put together an AR.

    The two rules that must be followed are;

    1) make sure the hammer spring is in correctly.

    2) If it's your first build, Buy at least duplicates of all springs..

    i build my first, its super easy and doesnt take long and you really feel good after its done. Trying to remeber what tools you need, but i think a hammer, something to punch to push the pins in.
