Default Everyone get home ok? We need the snow!

Fun to watch around here. Where I live (right next to Ft Carson) all the new solders from Texas are getting there first taste of Colorado. I have seen some slide right through the stop sign and a couple going 5mph.

Got a couple more inches after the pic was taken and it looks like it is not done. Hope they remembered that thing called antifreeze tonight.

I was going to have to water the lawn this weekend until this. Hope everyone stays safe.

Got home ok, but man people were idiots as usual. I nearly got into a low speed collision, as I was making a right turn into a local shopping center. Some Schmuck in an Escalade XXL (or whatever the large ones are), was blasting through on the wrong side of the road (my side) as I was turning in. Apparently when the lines are covered, some folks just can't figure it out. Just a brief reminder, ya can't just be accountable for your own actions, you have to watch out for everyone else as well. Hope everyone is safe out there

We made it home alright. I got honked at for some weird reason. Otherwise, it was okay.

The wife and I were going to go to the cabin by cripple creek (past gilette flats @ 10100 ft) but decided to stay home and warm....
The cabin would have been freezing - we went up last NYE and froze the first night till we got the stove cranking hot.

today, of all days, The Battery in the Blazer decided "its Time".

Driving a 2wd Pickup in this mess isn't that bad.
Driving a 2wd Pickup in this mess surrounded by idiot californians is a fucking nightmare.
Watched a Ford Excursion with Cali plates Zooming down 120th Slide through a Red light Sideways take out 3 cars and a pedestrian.
We stopped long enough to make sure everyone was OK.
I was also kind enough to give my statement to the officer.

I saw a Camry Solara with Cali plates driving around with their hazards on. Usually it is only the Mexicans around Federal Heights that do that.

I don't know if it is because I'm old now, but I get really nervous in the snow and always feel like I'm driving on the very edge of control. I left the house at 2:00pm and didn't get home till around 7:00pm and I don't think I got much over 35 mph the whole time.

I can't stand it when people drive around with their hazards on at 5mph- like I don't understand that it sucks bad outside! Thankfully because of them I not only know it sucks out but get to deal with annoying lights along the way
